The Heilan Coo
Flunder Wines started stocking this wine a few weeks ago and we had to give it a try because of the amazing name and label! We were so incredibly impressed though that we wanted to share it with you all and stock it on our site too.
Luke from Flunder Wines says:
The Heilan Coo is a a dedication to our favourite shaggy red-haired friends from the Highlands who were brought to Australia over 50 years ago to thrive on the rugged plains. Syrah, or shiraz as it's known in the New World, is considered to be one of the great noble black grape varieties, because it can produce such deliciously dark, full-bodied and age-worthy wines.
From estate owned vineyards in Victoria; the Heilan Coo is a silky Shiraz with a touch of Mataro (the Australian version of Mourvèdre for you wine geeks out there). This is definitely in the style of the new world Shiraz.
